Wildlife of the North

My personal series of photographs of different creatures that are neighbors to me. And that I gladly photograph every year when possible

Since summer 2022 i started my journey in wildlife photography. I have taken countless ammounts of images of birds that are common in my area.

Bellow you will find in my opinion best photographs I have taken so far.

Enjoy :)

Arctic Hare

Cute bunny, isn’t it?

During my travel to Varanger in April 2025. I have decided to try out something new. Usually I travel to this area just for bird photography. But this time i also included a night in cold wildlife hideout.

I have not tought much of it, simply I was interested to see how it works.

I was sitting in the cold old camper, that was rebuilt as photo hide for watching hares mainly. I was lucky to see fox as well. It was fun because I did not expect one to be there. But I was hoping for such encounter.

After few hours in the hide i finally manage to make this photograph. Thing is, it is dark outside at night. And the only source of light i had, was a LED light. It was back lighting the subjects that would come for a little snack.

The night was special, i was quite windy and snowy at the same time. Snow blizzard was coming every half an hour and it allowed me to make this beautiful composition.
